Elysha is a visual designer & strategist based in San Francisco.

Currently designing at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, working cross-functionally with R&D teams, creatives, and leadership to shape early mission concepts and translate advanced technology into clear, compelling experiences. I’m a proud Carnegie Mellon alum, where I studied Design and Human–Computer Interaction.

My design North Stars are clarity and resonance. I take an investigative, systems-oriented approach and focus on outcomes that meaningfully move teams and ideas forward. At my core, I’m driven by curiosity, a commitment to excellent craft, and a grounded optimism for the future. I’m always learning.

Outside of design, I’m passionate about nature, film photography, printmaking, climate action, and the music scene!

I’m currently open to full-time opportunities.

Hello! I’m Elysha, a designer based in San Francisco.

Most recently designing at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and partnering with manufacturing, aerospace, and frontier tech companies to translate complex technology into clear and compelling stories.

I grew up carrying a sketchbook everywhere, using art to document and understand the life around me. Before even knowing what “design” was, I sensed that visual form was deeply human and important to master. Driven by this belief, I got a degree from Carnegie Mellon’s School of Design and Human-Computer Interaction.

I never imagined my path would lead me to NASA, but after working with dozens of the most intelligent teams of scientists and engineers, and a few launched campaigns and awards later, I came to realize that my unexpected background was what made me especially useful to technical teams. They needed someone that wasn't like them, to make their work matter to everyone else.
Along the way, I’ve discovered that my design North Stars are clarity and resonance. I take an investigative, systems-oriented approach and use design and visualization to bring ambiguous concepts, brands, and products to life. To this day, a sketchbook is central to my design process, as well as my interests in nature, film photography, printed matter, climate action, and the music scene.

My best work happens when I’m working with people who also value curiosity, trust in human intuition, and a commitment to excellent craft. If you are one of those people and would like to work together, please feel free to reach out via email or LinkedIn!
